This winter, the Student Trail Stewards at Northwood High School designed a Leave No Trace bandana to be used as a non disposable education tool on Leave No Trace hikes this spring. Students were divided into two teams to create and compete against each other for the best Leave No Trace design. They surveyed teachers and staff at Northwood to determine the winning design.

      The Leave No Trace bandana is now available on the PATC website store. The proceeds of the bandana will be used to support the Student Trail Steward program. Please support the fantastic work being done by the Stewards.

      On April 26th and May 10th  from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, the stewards will use the LNT bandanas to lead hikes on the Rachel Carson Greenway and to provide outreach and education at the trail head about Leave No Trace. They will use their designed LNT bandanas as a tool to educate about human’s impact on trails and the environment. PATC members and the community are encouraged to participate in one of the hikes.
