The Stonewall Brigade is a Potomac Appalachian Trail Club crew that performs trail maintenance and improvements in the Great North Mountain area of the Lee District of the George Washington National Forest. Great North Mountain is located along several scenic mountain ridges between Woodstock, VA and Wardensville, WV. The Stonewall Brigade is made up solely of volunteers, who enjoy spending time in the outdoors to keep the trails in good condition. With only a few exceptions (see Planning Details), anyone with an interest in joining the crew for one day or on a regular basis is very welcome. No experience is necessary.
