Cabin Work Trip & Other Special Use Policy |
|
|
|
|
General
Locked cabins provide revenue to PATC to support Club service activities. They also provide recreation opportunities to members and, when located on public land, to the general public. This policy is designed to assure adequate and fair use of the cabins to further the goals of the Club. The policy gives limited priority to work trips; however, it is expected that overseers will avoid conflicts whenever possible by choosing alternate dates since many trail work trips are fixed by early Potomac Appalachian deadlines.
Violations of this policy may result in the loss of eligibility to make or use reservations under this policy.

Guidelines for Communicating with PATC Volunteers
Club policy approved by Council on 8 June 1999
PATC success results from teamwork, and good teamwork is contingent on good communications. A project's success depends on how well team members communicate what they are doing both among themselves and to anyone likely to be affected by or interested in their activities.

Dispute Resolution Policy
Club Policy approved by council on 8 June 2004
The Club has a hierarchical structure, and Club supervisors, committee chairs, officers, and others tasked with furthering Club goals, may on occasion disagree with other volunteers who are working under their supervision. Disputes among volunteers will be resolved at the lowest level possible - preferably between the parties to the disagreement. If not resolved at the lowest level, the dispute can be elevated to higher levels within the Club, in a "chain of command" structure.
