The Roaring Tuskers support the Tuscarora Trail Central District Manager on
a variety of projects focused on making the Tuscarora Trail a part of the
Great Eastern Trail initiative. Projects include re-routing existing trail
sections off roads; re-routing or creating new trail sections onto land that
has formal, permanent easements; improvements to existing trail sections to
support greater use; creating new access trails; and other improvements that
will assist hikers in accessing and using the trail. To date the crew has
worked a few miles North and South of Rt. 50 West of Winchester, VA. Future
plans will expand coverage North and South. The crew typically works the
