Reservations are accepted up to two calendar months prior to the first date of the desired rental period. Note: Selected dates for a given cabin may be blocked out in advance for cabin maintenance or planned club volunteer activities.

Remember, a "Rental Night" is from 3pm to 3pm. (e.g. a rental for Friday is from 3pm Friday to 3pm Saturday).

There is a 2-night weekend minimum rental for PATC's most popular cabins.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

• Full refund, less $5.00 processing fee, is available if the reservation is cancelled 15 or more days prior to the first night of the reservation.
  
• 50% of the rental fee, less $5.00 processing fee, will be refunded if the reservation is cancelled 8 to 14 days prior to the first night of the reservation.
  
• No refund will be made if the reservation is cancelled 7 or fewer days prior to the first night of the reservation.
  
• Part of a reservation cannot be cancelled. The whole reservation must be cancelled and the processing fee forfeited. The renter must then wait at least 24 hours to make another reservation.
  
• Waiver Of Fees: Reservation fees will only be waived at the discretion of the Chairman of Cabin Reservations. NO FAULT WINTER POLICY: From December 1 to April 1 renters are able to cancel reservations in the event of hazardous road conditions for a $5 processing fee and be reimbursed for the remaining rental fee ONLY if the renter chooses not to go, immediately calls and leaves a message to that affect on any voice mailbox at PATC and mails the key and a written request for a refund and return of the cabin key within seven business days of the first date of the reservation. The renter is responsible for checking the roads and weather conditions in the area where the cabin is located. The volunteer overseer or volunteer reservationists would not know this information.
  
• NOTE TO SHENANDOAH NATIONAL PARK (SNP) CABIN RENTERS:
  During and after inclement weather, SNP frequently closes and locks the gates along the Skyline Drive. The gates are closed for extended periods of time. During hunting season, the Skyline Drive also closes in late afternoon until morning every night. Rental of cabins within SNP must be made with the understanding that there is a chance that they will NOT be accessible from Skyline Drive. Renters are welcome to "roll the dice" and rent the cabins anyway, but it should be clear to renters that SNP will NOT open the gates along Skyline Drive so you can gain access to your rented cabin. The only route to gain access to a rented cabin during inclement weather is from the park boundary, and this may require an extended hike over snowy/icy trails to the cabin location. If Skyline Drive is closed and a renter cannot reach the cabin by vehicle, he or she can cancel the reservation and request a refund of the advance payment minus the $5 processing fee. Hike-in directions are made available on the cabin direction sheets mailed out with the key. If PATC is not informed of the cancellation prior to the first date of the reservation, no refunds will be made regardless of whether or not the drive is closed.
  
  It is recommended that you carefully read the full cabin rental details before you make your reservation.

Individuals wishing to rent cabins should visit club headquarters in Vienna or call the PATC at (703) 242-0315 during the following hours:
Monday through Thursday: 7PM to 9PM
Thursday and Friday: Noon to 2PM
(The Cabins Desk is closed on federal holidays)

These are the ONLY hours during which club members and the public may obtain information on cabin availability, or make cabin reservations. The day staff is not set up to handle cabin reservations of any kind. Please don't call our club officers either (unless you want to run the risk of being signed up for a volunteer project). Our club officers do not control cabin reservations. Please be patient, when you call. Our cabins are extremely popular.
